The WordPress Bootcamp training consists of 3 parts of WordPress divided over 5 mornings. In part 1 you learn the basics of WordPress. In the second part you will learn how you can design your site according to your wishes. In the third part we go deeper into SEO and the findability of your website and there is opportunity for fine-tuning your site. View the details below per part:
1 WordPress basics
In part 1 we will set up your site. You learn how to put your content online. You learn the following:
- You get an overview of the possibilities of WordPress
- You will learn how to best build your WordPress site
- You learn how to work with the dashboard
- You learn to post and edit pages and messages
- You learn to place images
- You learn to adjust your menu
- You learn to deal with reactions and spam
- You learn to secure your site (99.999% safe)
- You learn how to work with widgets
- You get to know the important plugins
- You get to know working with themes
- You learn to put your website (temporarily) under construction
At the end of part 1 you know how to set up a WordPress site, add content and how you can maintain your site.
2 WordPress, design, webdesign
In part 2 you will learn how to design your website, which you have put online on part 1. The emphasis in this course is on the design and design of your website. You learn, among other things, the following:

Web hosting

We will provide a free WordPress testing environment that you can you for 2 weeks. So if you have a website online and don’t want to mess it up in the beginning you can use our test website during the training. After the bootcamp you will be able to work in your own website without making mistakes.
Computers and Hardware
For the online WordPress Bootcamp you can use your own computer of course. A second screen or laptop is recommended but not necessary. We will work with Zoom so you need the free Zoom software installed on your computer. That’s it.
Software
You do not have to purchase any software beforehand. WordPress uses the free WordPress software and WordPress plugins, themes or templates. WordPress is free and open-source. Furthermore, a small number of useful free programs are used. During the WordPress Bootcamp training you will learn which programs and software you can best use.
Language and skills
The WordPress Bootcamp training is of course given in English. To be able to follow WordPress Bootcamp well, no specific prior education is necessary. Basic knowledge of Windows or Mac is necessary.

Do you want to organize a WordPress Bootcamp yourself on your own location? Yes, you can! During the WordPress Pop-up Bootcamp, you learn the most important ins and outs of WordPress at your own chosen location with a self-composed group.
Benefits Pop-up WordPress Bootcamp
The WordPress Pop-up Bootcamp is similar to the popular ‘ordinary’ WordPress Bootcamp. The difference is that you can compile your course data and group yourself and determine your location yourself. So you can have the Pop-up Bootcamp take place at your own company or organization. This has some advantages. You work in your own environment. This, as a group, can save a lot of travel time / costs. An additional advantage is that the price per person is lower than participation in the regular WordPress Bootcamp.
WordPress Pop-up Bootcamp for small groups
In a small group of at least 2 and a maximum of 7 people you follow WordPress Pop-up Bootcamp. Everyone probably knows each other. The content of the website does not matter. Almost anything is possible. Only the creation of a full-fledged shop including payment module is not possible i.v. the time frame. As a group you can develop 1 website or individually create a website. Some examples of small organizations and companies that together with us organized a Pop-up Bootcamp: group of self-employed / self-employed people, universities, start-ups, company departments, editors, design collectives etc.

Suitable space
Make sure you have a suitable room with internet / wifi. A beamer would be nice but is not necessary. We can also take care of this. We will discuss this in advance. Good coffee is a plus 🙂
Computers and Hardware
Take care of a computer or laptop for each participant. The advantage is that you know how your computer works and that you have all your files ready. Is this not possible? No problem. We can also take care of this in consultation.

Is it easy to learn WordPress?
Yes it is. As long as you can use a computer or send an e-mail then you’ll be able to build a cool WordPress website with WordPress after attending our WordPress course.
Where can I learn WordPress?
We run online courses and courses throughout the the Netherlands and Belgium in Amsterdam, Rotterdam, The Hague, Antwerp and Brussels. We also run private WordPress courses and onsite training for companies and organisations.
Do you teach WordPress.org or WordPress.com?
We teach you how to build a WordPress website with WordPress.org. The main difference between these two flavours of WordPress is that WordPress.org gives you 100% control over your WordPress site, and you can install any WordPress theme or WordPress plugin. All will be explained on the day.
Do you need to code to use WordPress?
Nope. The good news is that you don’t need to learn any html or php code or whatsoever. Arthur will teach you the best tools available today to make a great website without coding.
I already have a WordPress website, is this a good course for me?
Yes! Our (online) WordPress trainings and courses are great if you have an existing website and want to learn how to improve it, or if you want to build a brand new website. Besides you will get a free test website to practice with.
Do you offer follow on training after I’ve completed the WordPress Bootcamp course?
Yes we offer a number of services for ongoing WordPress trainings. We have a service called private WordPress trainings on demand. This is private ‘one to one’ WordPress training where we sit ‘side by side’ and build your website with you in one day. We also offer private training courses, and onsite training for companies and organisations. We also run on-site WordPress training courses.
